2015 PKF Giving Day

 

Members of the Board made their way to Tsenat Elementary and Middle School in Eritrea on December 4th, 2015. With the funds raised at the 2015 Gala, over 160 students and 40 educators were gifted with educational and support packages. Each package contained: notebooks, a variety of pens and pencils, sharpeners, calculators, rulers, academic planners, binders, and more! Each educator received a shining white uniform, as this was identified by the Director of Tsenat as a necessity. 

 

Additionally, seven students were awarded the 2015 Petros Ketema Foundation Scholarship, valued at $250 USD each. To see the students', educators', and Director's face beam with happiness -- it's only something that you would have to experience yourself! We hope the photo and video footage - below - captured their feelings.

 

The material tools that were provided to the students are not only facilitating the students' daily tasks, they are motivating them to pursue their educational aspirations with pride. Similarly, the tools provided to the educators' and Director served as a token of gratitude for their commitment to education. The 2015 Giving Day surely executed PKF's mission!
